The second ever women's mixed martial arts (MMA) fight to take place under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) banner was just as thrilling -- if not more so -- as the first, as Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano won "Fight of the Night" honors for their back-and-forth war of attrition at last night's (Sat., April 13, 2013) The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 Finale at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Zingano stopped Tate in the third and final round when she unloaded a flurry of offense punctuated by some particularly brutal knees that did just enough to force referee Kim Winslow to step in to stop the fight. It may have been a bit of a quick stoppage but the extra $50,000 bonus surely helps ease Tate's pain. Either way, Zingano moves on to a coaching spot on TUF 18 on Fox Sports 1 this September and a title fight against Ronda Rousey once that wraps up. Excited?
