Pre-fight interview with Jimmy Quinlan of TUF 17 (TUF Finale 4/13/13)

Hey, Mania.

I had a few questions thrown at me that I ran by Jimmy Quinlan of TUF 17.

Jimmy Quinlan is representing MassBJJ tonight at the TUF 17 finale. He's on the UFC on Fuel undercard starting at 7 PM EDT.

What was your cut/make weight diet made of? Did you do anything different for your first UFC fight as far as diet (more organic foods, etc.) are concerned?

JQ: I stuck to the same diet, basics like chicken, wheat pasta, oats, veggies fruits and fats-- pretty simple, nothing too crazy. I was able to get my weight low enough that I was able to keep eating until the night before weigh-ins and had a pretty easy cut to get about 10-15 pounds of water out.

Since the show, have you trained with the Sonnen or Jones camp? If yes, what was it like to train with your former coach or the opposite team's coach?

JQ: I trained with Chael and his camp after the show for a couple weeks. It was really cool! Luke Barnatt and his training partner, UFC 155'er John Maguire, were out there as well. Quite a few guys from the show have trained with Chael and the guys at One MMA(Uriah, Luke, Zak, and myself).

I'll probably have a post-fight interview next week.

Tune in tonight and cheer for Jimmy!
