The final episode of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 has wrapped (recap here), and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has now released the complete fight card and FX-televised line up for this weekend's live finale, which emanates from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 13, 2013.
Headlined by a main event between perennial 135-pound contenders Urijah Faber vs. Scott Jorgensen, TUF 17 live finale will also feature middleweight finalists Uriah Hall vs. Kelvin Gastelum in a battle for this season's "six-figure contract."
That's not all.
As with every season, a few of the top names from the combat sports reality show will get a call back to see if they have the chops to compete inside the Octagon, despite coming up short earlier in the year. That includes semifinalist Josh Samman, who was eliminated by Gastelum, but returns to battle Kevin Casey in "Sin City."
On the other side of the bracket, Dylan Andrews, the last man to fall to Hall (and get hospitalized in the process), will be matched up against Team Sonnen's Jimmy Quinlan, who appeared to be in cruise control until Samman pounded him out in week 11.
Also getting a second look is Robert McDaniel.
"Bubba" already had a chance to rise from the dead once -- as this season's wildcard -- but was put out to pasture by Hall via first round knockout. Standing in his way is Gilbert Smith, who took an early exit thanks to Luke Barnatt's flying knee in episode two.
The lanky Brit will join his TUF 17 brethren in a 185-pound match-up opposite Collin Hart, who defeated the aforementioned Casey, but was later stopped by Gastelum in the quarterfinals. Last but not least, Clint Hester makes his way to the Mandalay Bay to challenge scrappy TUF 16 standout Bristol Marunde.
Here are the new additions to the TUF 17 finale fight card:
185 lbs.: Bubba McDaniel vs. Gilbert Smith
185 lbs.: Josh Samman vs. Kevin Casey
185 lbs.: Luke Barnatt vs. Collin Hart
185 lbs.: Dylan Andrews vs. Jimmy Quinlan
185 lbs.: Clint Hester vs. Bristol Marunde
Also scheduled for TUF 17 live finale is the second-ever women's UFC bantamweight bout between Miesha Tate vs. Cat Zingano, as well as a heavyweight contest that pits Travis Browne against Gabriel Gonzaga.
