Welcome, Maniacs, to the thirty-fifth edition of "This Week in MMAmania.com." MMAmania is a gigantic and glorious place and we pump out a ridiculous amount of content. If you don't refresh this site every 60 minutes, you might just miss something amazing.
Have no fears, that's what this weekly article is all about! We'll recap the best of all things MMAmania, whether it be a great comment, a Fan Post, an article, video or something else.
- Comment of the Week: This one goes to UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre, who didn't get much in edgewise against Nick Diaz during their epic UFC 158 conference call yesterday, but he made his insults count against who he called "an uneducated fool."
I speak English better than you, man.
-Georges St. Pierre
- Article of the week: If you haven't listened to Nick Diaz blow his gasket yet, please take some time out of your day and go check it out. This was surreal to listen to live and it only gets better with age.
- MMAmania's Verbal Submission Podcast: Yes, that's right, folks. The podcast was back this week as yours truly talked everything from Silva vs Weidman to the effectiveness of counter-striking and more. We also interviewed World Series of Fighting 2 bantamweight Tyson Nam.
Did you miss it? Don't worry, you can listen to the archived podcast by clicking on the player below:
- Statistic of the Week: It looks like teasers really work. Jon Jones tweeted that he had some "Breaking News" that could be life changing earlier this week and wouldn't you know it, it ended up being one of most popular articles of the week. Turns out "Bones" debuted another kid, which according to you guys, wasn't quite the breaking news you were looking to hear.
- Fanpost of the Week: How can this not go to Jesse Holland's WideToad-gate article? If you missed the chaos WT delivered to Mania earlier this week, he has all the details over there. It was Mania drama at it's finest.....and probably dumbest.
- Honorable mention fanpost of the week: I love when you Maniacs do some legwork for fighter interviews and whatnot. So AngryTwinkie's post about his next upcoming interview with TUF 17's Jimmy Quinlan gets the nod.
- Honorable mention comment of the week: Jadrig dropped some hilariously truthful knowledge on testosterone levels in wake of the controversial transgender female fighter and testosterone levels.
SHIT...Alistair Overeem's Testosterone levels were that of a female last month...
- Jadrig
- Interview of the Week: My interview with Doug Marshall was straight up ridonkulous. Go read the crazy things the Bellator season eight finalist had to say if you haven't already.
But that's not all, we also have interviews with elite kickboxer Tyrone Spong and new SportsLab head MMA coach Ian Loveland. Go check them out if you haven't already.
- Video of the Week: Who doesn't want to see hot chicks ground and pounding?
We don't just have great content on MMAmania, our writers also are very active on Twitter, most notably our beloved Geno Mrosko. Unfortunately, Geno seems to have deleted his Twitter account a while ago, so other Mania writers had to step up their game. Let's see how they did.
Here's our honorary #GenoTime Tweet of the Week: Our big winner this week was Jesse Holland. It was great to see his thought process during the Stefan Struve/Mark Hunt fight last weekend. Thankfully our master at MMAmania can savor Mark Hunt's victory with a delicious T-bone.
If Hunt/Struve goes to a decision @ufc on #FUELTV8 I'll give up steak for a week. For me, that's like a really big deal.-Jesse Holland
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Boy I sure hope pork tenderloin is on sale this week

- Obligatory TNA of the Week: Yum.
- Scottidog's "Good guy comment of the week" - This one actually goes to a fanpost. hey!ho!let'sgogoplata had an intriguing article about threatening people over the internet after he received an anonymous threat. It's worthy of checking out.
Lastly, let's finish off the week with some Maniac debate. As the week comes to a close, let's get some input:
