The promotion's annual Memorial Day Weekend pay-per-view (PPV) fight card continues to fill up, this time with a pair of "Ultimate Fighter" champions from two different countries.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) wants to find out who the real "Ultimate Fighter" is, by pitting The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 welterweight champion Colton Smith against his Australian "Sm-Ashes" counterpart Robert Whittaker.
When and where?
At the rapidly-evolving UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" pay-per-view (PPV) event, slotted for the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 25, 2013.
Smith (3-1) graduated from the FX channel reality show with a unanimous decision victory over Mike Ricci last December while Whittaker (10-2) also needed the judges to help him earn his "six-figure contract" when he outpointed Brad Scott that same weekend "Down Under."
Time to find out who is worthy of entering the "mix."
UFC 160 will feature the second showdown between UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and 265-pound "Bigfoot" Antonio Silva. Former division kingpin Junior dos Santos will try to get back into the title picture against Alistair Overeem while Glover Teixeira makes his case for a run at the 205-pound title opposite Ryan Bader.
