Former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 14 runner-up Dennis Bermudez has been paired off against the rough-and-tumble Max Holloway for the upcoming UFC 160: "Velasquez vs. Bigfoot 2" pay-per-view (PPV) event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 25, 2013.
UFC announced the featherweight scrap earlier today.
After getting subbed by Diego Brandao in his Octagon debut, Bermudez (10-3) roared back to win three in a row, including his insane "Fight of the Night" against Matt Grice at the UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" event last month in Anaheim.
Will history repeat itself in "Sin City?"
That depends on whether or not "Blessed" can hold up his end of the bargain. Like "The Menace," Holloway was subbed in his UFC debut only to rebound with a three-fight winning streak, culminating with a split decision win over Leonard Garcia last December.
UFC 160 will feature the second showdown between UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez and 265-pound "Bigfoot" Antonio Silva. Former division kingpin Junior dos Santos will try to get back into the title picture against Mark Hunt while Glover Teixeira makes his case for a run at the 205-pound title opposite James Te Huna.
