"Rumble" in the Revel.
World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 2 went down last night (March 23, 2013) from the Revel Resort & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey, featuring a heavyweight main event pitting former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) star Andrei Arlovski against fellow ZUFFA export Anthony Johnson.
See the full results from their unusual pairing here.
Johnson busted up his hand (see it here) but still came out the victor, planting "The Pitbull" in the opening frame and keeping the pressure on in the second and third rounds. It wasn't the prettiest of victories, but hey, a win is a win, and one that will force Arlovski to re-evaluate his career.
Where does the Belarusian go from here? Johnson, we can say for sure, has had enough of the 265-pound class and will be headed back down to light heavyweight, according to comments he made at the post-fight press gathering.
