Aleksander Emelianenko un-retires, joins ProFC in Russia
That was fast. Former PRIDE heavyweight Aleksander Emelianenko (21-6) is coming out of retirement after calling it quits three months ago (see why here) and has already signed a long-term contract with Russia's ProFC mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion. So what changed his mind? Elder priests at an Orthodox monastery in Greece told him it was okay, according to Sherdog.com. Yes, really. Let's just hope his baggage stays retired. Now that one Emelianenko brother has returned to the cage ... could the other be far behind? Photo courtesy of M-1.
