It may be cliché, but when it comes to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), delivering a memorable performance in your debut can be the difference between getting fast tracked towards the top or having to take the slow road to the title.
Some fighters set a precedent for themselves and their style in their debut, while others have never been able to recreate the magic found during that first night under the bright lights.
While not all of the UFC's biggest stars made a mark in their first UFC bout, some of them certainly did.
On the most recent edition of "UFC Ultimate Insider" on FUEL TV, UFC color-commentator Joe Rogan counted down his top-8 UFC debuts, which includes a number of contenders and even one current UFC champion.
