Recently I made a reactionary fanpost to the outcome of the Bigfoot and Overeem fight at UFC 159 where i said Bigfoot should rematch Overeem immediately because he got a flash KO win over Overeem. I would like to admit that I was wrong and that Silva's win puts him in the running for a UFC title shot. He also, should be ranked higher than 7th in the MMA rankings.

Thinking back on Silva's Strikeforce and UFC career he has only lost to Cormier, Velasquez, and Werdum. three of the top 4 Heavyweights in the world. He has beaten Arlovski, Fedor, and Overeem who all three at the time were top 10 guys and he hasn't really had any gimme fights in his careere under Zuffa controlled organizations.

I still think Overeem acted like an cocky idiot in that fight, but Silva would not have decisively lost that fight if it had gone to a decision.
