The Strikeforce invasion continues! The welterweight division gets two more top prospects in the form of Adlan Amagov and Chris Spang, who travel to Stockholm to see who gets to move up the 170-pound ladder.
Hey, you know what UFC needs right now? MAWR STRIKEFORCE!
The good news is, we're going to get it, as Adlan Amagov makes his transition to the Octagon to battle Chris Spang at the UFC on FUEL TV 9: "Gustafsson vs. Mousasi" event on April 6, 2013 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
Kimura.se confirmed the welterweight pairing earlier today.
Amagov (11-2) suffered a setback against Robbie Lawler when he was "Ruthlessly" finished in early 2012; however, "The Wolf" took a bite out of Keith Berry at the Strikeforce: "Rousey vs. Kaufman" event later that year to get himself back into the win column.
He'll prove to be a formidable challenge for Spang (5-1), who also makes his UFC debut after posting a 3-1 record inside the Hexagon. After dropping a decision to Ricky Legere, Jr. in Las Vegas, "The Kiss" planted Nah-Shon Burrell at the "Barnett vs. Cormier" event last May
Who takes it?
UFC on FUEL TV 9 will be headlined by a 205-pound battle between top contenders Alexander Gustafsson vs. Gegard Mousasi, while Akira Corassani vs. Robbie Peralta hook 'em up in featherweight action.
