It has just been reported that Josh Barnett could not come to terms with the UFC and it seems like they will be looking else where for the final stage of his careen. I think this is crazy since with how shallow the heavyweight division is right now he could have gotten an immediate title shot against Cain Velasquez. Not saying he necessarily deserves one but who else is Cain going to fight? He just dismantled Bigfoot so that fight has little appeal, JDS needs more time to heal and get another fight or two under his belt before he has a trilogy fight with Cain. Plus that is going to be a huge fight and the UFC should not rush that in my opinion. Cormier and Velasquez have stated numerous times that they will not fight each other, despite Helwani's best efforts. All other top ten HW are booked or Cain has already beat. Who do you guys think Cain will face next? He says he wants to fight in the summer and I would like to see him get in there rather than take a year off to and wait for the division to sort itself out.
