Jose Aldo retains his featherweight championship by winning a unanimous decision over Frankie Edgar in the main event of UFC 156: "Aldo vs. Edgar" last night (Sat., Feb. 2, 2013) at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although your mileage may vary, this seems to be one of the least controversial fights Edgar has been a part of in recent memory. Sure, there are already plenty of arguments being made in his favor, that he may have stolen round three and taken four and five right after it but the three folks who matter most, the cageside judges, scored in favor of the champion. Both men face uncertain futures: Aldo seems to have run out of interesting challengers already and Edgar has lost three fights in a row, all championship bouts across two separate weight classes.
