Wanderlei Silva returns to his legendary mixed martial arts (MMA) stomping grounds this weekend (Sat., March 2, 2013), Saitama, Japan, to take on Brian Stann in a special 205-pound UFC on FUEL TV 8 main event. Prior to punching each other in the face, the pair came nose-to-nose this evening (Feb. 26, 2013) at the UFC on FUEL TV 8 press conference. See their staredown pic and others below.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) held its final UFC on FUEL TV 8: "Silva vs. Stann" press conference this evening (Feb. 26, 2013) at Hilton Shinjuku in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, which is near the Saitama Super Arena, home of its Asian-inspired mixed martial arts (MMA) event this weekend (Sat., March 2, 2013).

The main event participants -- Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann -- were naturally on hand to talk about their five-round Light Heavyweight showdown, exchanging pleasantries and niceties before mean mugging for the MMA media in attendance.

Mark Hunt and Stefan Struve, the shortest and tallest Heavyweight fighters on the roster, respectively, were also on hand for a face off that could best be described as comical ... and anything but threatening. So, too, were 155-pound standouts Takanori Gomi and Diego Sanchez, with the "Fireball Kid" seemingly doing everything in his power to remain awake, while "Nightmare" did everything thing in his to telepathically steal his soul.

Last, and certainly not least, Yushin Okami and Hector Lombard went toe-to-toe prior to their Middleweight showdown, which also looked every bit vertically lopsided. However, don't let the size of "Shango" -- or lack thereof fool you ... he's one angry dude.

UFC President Dana White was not present. In his place, Mark Fischer, UFC Asia Managing Director, fumbled through the presser, with former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) promoter, Reed Harris, by his side to walk him through the pain-staking process.

Check out the staredown pics below from all the notable main card fighters mentioned above.

In addition, remember that MMAmania.com will deliver live UFC on FUEL TV 8: "Silva vs. Stann" results this Saturday evening, starting with the Facebook "Prelims" at 7:30 p.m. ET, as well as the main card, which is slated to air at 10 p.m. ET on FUEL TV.
