The California State Athletic Commission (NSAC) today issued its list of medical suspensions for UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche," which took place on Sat., Feb. 23, 2013, from the Honda Center in Anaheim.

And it's a long one.

All 24 fighters competing on last weekend's fight card were suspended for a minimum of seven days for precautionary reasons. In addition, a handful of competitors -- including Josh Koscheck and Dan Henderson -- saw their time outs extended past the seven-day mark to address potential injuries suffered inside the Octagon.

They are:

Dan Henderson: Suspended six months unless cleared by physician (possible right hand fracture).
Josh Neer: Suspended six months unless cleared by physician (possible nasal fracture).
Josh Koscheck: Suspended six months unless cleared by physician (possible right rotator cuff injury). Minimum suspension 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons (technical knockout).
Brendan Schaub: Suspended 60 days unless cleared by physician (upper lip laceration).
Dennis Bermudez: Suspended 60 days unless cleared by physician (left eyebrow laceration).
Matt Grice: Suspended 60 days unless cleared by physician (front scalp laceration). Minimum suspension 45 days (30 days no contact) for precautionary reasons.
Brock Jardine: Suspended six months unless cleared by physician (left thigh injury).
Yuri Villefort: Suspended 60 days unless cleared by physician (precautionary reasons).

"Kos" was blitzed by a returning Robbie Lawler and "Hendo" came up short in a split decision to Lyoto Machida. Matt Grice did the Frankenstein walk against Dennis Bermudez and Josh Neer was eating leather from Court McGee. In short, there was a lot of violence last weekend in Anaheim.

Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.
