Check out a photo gallery from the UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" event that took place last night (Sat., Feb. 23, 2013) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, featuring the historic debut of women in the UFC and Ronda Rousey winning by armbar.
UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" blew the roof off the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, last night (Sat., Feb. 23, 2013) featuring a main event of Ronda Rousey submitting Liz Carmouche in the first round of their historic bantamweight championship bout, the first women's match-up to take place inside the Octagon. The result was the same as every other "Rowdy" fight in history.
You know the saying by now: Death, taxes, Rousey by armbar. Whatever.
The co-headlining attraction saw Lyoto Machida work his always elusive game to frustrate Dan Henderson over three rounds en route to a split decision win. Boring as it may have been for all involved, that light heavyweight title shot is now his.
The other three main card bouts saw Urijah Faber choke Ivan Menjivar while standing up, Court McGee earn a unanimous decision victory over Josh Neer, and Robbie Lawler knock Josh Koscheck out in his "Ruthless" return to the world's largest fight promotion.
