UFC Quick Quote: Dana White had no problem with Lawler-Koscheck stoppage

Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Dana White commented on the stoppage in the Robbie Lawler vs. Josh Koscheck fight at the UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" post-fight press conference, saying he had no queries with the referee's decision to stop the fight at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

"Koscheck was out. Yeah, Koscheck was out it. It was one of those weird knockouts where he was out and then Lawler hit him a few more times and woke him up. You could tell when Koscheck got up; Koscheck didn't even know what happened. He had no clue what happened -- he watched it on the screen."

-- Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White weighed in on the stoppage by Herb Dean in the Robbie Lawler vs. Josh Koscheck welterweight fight at UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche," in Anaheim, Calif., saying that despite Koscheck's initial protests, the stoppage was justified. Lawler hurt Koscheck badly with a flurry of punches in the first round while The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 1 veteran was in the fetal position on the ground, which led Dean to stop the fight. Koscheck popped up immediately, adamantly saying he was fine; however, the decision was made and "Ruthless" was handed his first UFC victory since in nearly 10 years. Lawler looked phenomenal in his return to 170-pounds, and with his heavy hands will be one to look out for in the division going forward.
