UFC 157 is tonight from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California! Ronda Rousey will be facing Liz Carmouche in the main event in the first ever women's bout in the UFC, also on the card is Dan Henderson vs Lyoto Machida and Josh Koscheck vs. Robbie Lawler.
Here are my quick picks for UFC 157 with a brief description of why I am picking that way.
Ronda Rousey will defeat Liz Carmouche
Ronda will be way too much for Liz. Ronda will initiate the clinch immediately and go right to her bread and butter. Judo throw into side control, armbar, game over.
Ronda Rousey via. submission
Lyoto will be too elusive for Hendo. Hendo is an all time great but this is a bad match-up for him. Hendo needs to land the right hand and Machida knows this, that's all he has to offer at this point. The footwork and countering ability of Machida will be the reasons he wins this fight.
Lyoto Machida via. unanimous decision
Josh's wrestling will be the story of this fight. At this point in Josh's career I believe he is realizing he is a wrestler first, a striker second, instead of the other way around. He basically abandoned his wrestling in his last few fights, time to go back to it versus a dangerous striker.
Josh Koscheck via. unanimous decision
Faber's overall game will overwhelm Menjivar. I favor Faber in almost every aspect of this fight and can't see him having to much trouble with Menjivar. Faber could finish but I wouldn't bet on it.
Urijah Faber via. unanimous decision
Josh Neer will defeat Court McGee
Josh Neer's submission game gets him the win. I see McGee having good success on the feet although Neer is a very good boxer, but then going for a take down and getting his head caught in a guillotine.
Josh Neer via. submission
Brendan Schaub will defeat Lavar Johnson
Anton Kuivanen will defeat Michael Chiesa
Dennis Bermudez will defeat Matt Grice
Caros Fodor will defeatSam Stout
Neil Magny will defeat Jon Manley
Kenny Robertson will defeat Brock Jardine
Yuri Villefort will defeat Nah-Shon Burrell
