Xtreme Fighting Championship's (XFC) twenty-second mixed martial arts (MMA) event is in the books as last night (Feb. 22, 2013) the organization traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina, for XFC 22: "Crossing The Line" at the Grady Cole Center.
The event headliner was a lightweight bout that saw Scott Holtzman and Jason Hicks face off in a fairly one-sided three-round battle with Holtzman emerging victorious by unanimous decision and in the process, earning a title fight against undefeated one-armed sensation Nick Newell later this year.
The co-main event of the night was a welterweight contest that featured Ricky Rainey and Joseph Corneroll slug it out for 15-minutes with Rainey getting the nod from the judges in just the second fight of his career to go to a decision.
