Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche full fight video preview for UFC 157

A full preview video hyping the historic Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche bout that will main event UFC 157 tonight (Sat., Feb. 23, 2012) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. It's the first women's fight in UFC history, folks!

For the first time in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), two women will step inside the Octagon to do battle over the newly minted women's bantamweight championship belt, awarded to breakout star Ronda Rousey after her spectacular run through the Strikeforce ranks.

In fact, if we're being honest here, she's the reason women are in the UFC. Promotion President Dana White is head over heels for her and for good reason. She's a beautiful badass who has finished each and every one of her fights in spectacular fashion. No opponent has made it out of the first round.

Only one made it past the first minute.

The UFC can also market her sex appeal, something the company wasted little time doing. The same doesn't necessarily apply for the woman who will be fighting Rousey for her title, Liz Carmouche, though that's certainly not a bad thing.

That's because Carmouche is making history twice when she steps inside the cage later on this evening (Sat., Feb. 23, 2013) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Not only is she the main event of UFC 157 and involved in the first female fight in the history of the promotion, she's also the first openly gay fighter to compete inside the Octagon.

All of this adds up to a great deal of excitement for what could be a very short evening, especially if Rousey stays true to her pattern and decimates her latest victim. Either way, this is one of the most intriguing bouts in UFC history.

Don't miss it.
