While fans may not be sold on another bantamweight title shot for Urijah Faber, it's hard to exclude him from the "mix" with a solid win over Ivan Menjivar this Saturday night in Anaheim. Outside of "The California Kid," who is there at 135-pounds to go for the gold?

"To be at the top of the list you gotta put in the work, you gotta be consistent, you gotta be persistent. You gotta never step away and let people catch up and that's what I'm doing. I know [the division] is wide open. I don't care who I fight, I'm going to fight whoever they put in front of me, but of course I'm in the running. I have no idea about what I deserve or don't deserve, I'm just gonna keep on fighting. I would love to fight [Renan Barao] again. I would love to fight everybody in the weight class."

Former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber (via MMA Fighting) is 0-4 in title fights since coughing up his 145-pound strap to Mike Brown back in 2009, with two of those unsuccessful bids coming as a bantamweight. Is the third time the charm? "The California Kid" would "love" another crack at Renan Barao after coming up short against the Brazilian in their Interim championship bout last July and of course, there is always the rubber match with a returning Dominick Cruz if "The Dominator" retains. Does the fact that a case can be made for another Faber title fight mean the 135-pound division is running out of talent? Or will Ivan Menjivar put an end to any and all of that chatter at UFC 157 this Saturday night in Anaheim?
