MMAFighting.com shutterbug extraordinaire, Esther Lin, was on the scene at UFC Gym in Torrance, Calif., on Weds., Feb., 20, 2013, to shoot several of the notable fighters who will compete on the UFC 157: "Rousey vs. Carmouche" pay-per-view (PPV) card this Saturday night (Feb. 23, 2013) for the event's open media workouts.
Naturally, the two women who will collide in the main event of the evening, Ronda Rousey vs. Liz Carmouche, were strutting their stuff to promote their "historic" 135-pound showdown, which will mark the first time ever that the world's leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion has staged a female bout.
And "Rowdy" -- the first-ever women's UFC Bantamweight Champion -- was the at the center of the MMA media attention, tossing around her male sparring partner like a ragdoll.
Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, Lyoto Machida, who will co-headline the PPV opposite Dan Henderson, was looking fit and sharp, as well as top 135-pound contenders Urijah Faber and Ivan Menjivar, who were all on hand to work up one of the last few real sweats prior to their respective bouts this weekend at the Honda Center in nearby Anaheim.
