UFC 156: "Aldo vs Edgar," which took place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Feb. 2, 2013, tallied a live gate of $2,437,150, according to official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released today.

It was a typical Frankie Edgar-type of fight.
The co-headlining attraction saw Rashad Evans get upset by Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in a largely forgettable affair that never really seemed to get going while everyone was raving about the finish to the heavyweight bout between Alistair Overeem and Antonio Silva, which saw "Bigfoot" knock "The Reem" into another dimension with a huge flurry of punches..
In the other two main card bouts, Joseph Benavidez earned a decision against Ian McCall while Demian Maia "Fitched" Jon Fitch via unanimous decision.
