ROAD FC Coliseum

If someone tells you to "hit the road," they may be trying to help you become a better MMA fighter.

ROAD Fighting Championship recently announced the opening of the new "ROAD FC Coliseum" which will ready for use in March 2013. According to ROAD FC Promoter Jung Moon Hong, it is 'the first time in MMA history that an arena and gym have been purposely built for an MMA promotion.'

Founded in 2010, ROAD FC has put on 10 events to date in Korea and has brought in international fighters including Jeff Monson and Melvin Manhoef in the past as well as showcasing local talent such as Bae Young Kwon, Soo Chul Kim and Kyung Ho Kang.

The ROAD FC Coliseum will be used for a monthly MMA league, which will replace the 'Young Guns' series of fights currently taking place on ROAD FC undercards, and will also house a fully outfitted MMA training gym. It is located in Paju just north of Seoul.

ROAD FC numbered events will continue to take place in stadiums across South Korea with ROAD FC 11 set for April 13th at the Olympic Hall in Seoul. That card will feature two title matches with Yui Chul Nam facing Kume Takasuke in the final of the 155 lbs Grand Prix and Eun-Soo defending his middleweight belt against Ikuhisa Minowa.
