You've gotta be kidding me...
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Women's Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has been named to Time magazine's list of "30 People Under 30 Changing the World."
The list focuses on 11 categories, that focus on important things such as Human Rights, Technology, and Politics. Rousey, along with adventurer Parker Liautard, was included for her contributions to female athletics.
Time states that Rousey has been "updating the face of female athletics through her tough skills and commercial successes."
Rousey is credited for being the catalyst for the UFC to finally get behind women's mixed martial arts (MMA). Before she dominated in Strikeforce, UFC President Dana White was adamant that women would never compete inside the Octagon.
She's become something of a media darling, appearing on numerous late night shows, coaching a season of The Ultimate Fighter, and having major roles in two Hollywood blockbusters. Not too bad for a 26 year old who loves to fight and snap arms.
