UFC Fight Night 33 results: Mark Hunt vs. Bigfoot Silva Fight Metric report is bonkers

Bradley Kanaris

A bonkers Fight Metric report for a bonkers fight.

While Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White may be taking things a bit too far with his hyperbolic statements in the aftermath of last night's (Fri., Dec. 6, 2013) UFC Fight Night 33 main event, there's no questioning the bloody war waged by Mark Hunt and Antonio Silva at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia, was one of the best fights of the year.

And maybe a lot longer.

Indeed, "The Super Samoan" traded punches with "Bigfoot" for five full rounds. That's 25 minutes of what felt like non-stop action from two gargantuan men who somehow withstood more punishment than any human should be forced to take.

In fact, they set a record for significant strikes in a heavyweight bout, as touted by the UFC Twitter:

That's all well and good, but let's just go ahead and look at the Fight Metric report to see how bonkers things really got:

Yeah, that's just nuts.

According to the official scorecards, which can be seen by clicking here, one judge scored rounds one, two, and four for Silva (10-9 each) and rounds three and five for Hunt (also 10-9 each). The reason it was declared a majority draw is because the other two judges had the same scoring but gave Hunt a 10-8 in the final round.

I'll let you decide if that's the right scorecard.

In the meantime, again, how bonkers was this?
