UFC Fight Night 33: "Hunt vs. Bigfoot" at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Australia, has officially wrapped, which means it's time for those select fighters who went above and beyond in their respective fights to get a little extra grease for their efforts.
To the tune of $50,000 each.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) dished out its standard post-fight monetary bonuses to four of the 22 fighters on the card. And it's probably no surprise who's heading home with a second sack of simoleons.
That rings especially true for the Mark Hunt vs. Antonio Silva showcase that is now a contender for "Fight of the Year," making it a shoo-in for "Fight of the Night". Actually, UFC President Dana White was so happy with it, he's ready to buy both fighters their own islands.
Elsewhere, Mauricio Rua was an easy choice for "Knockout of the Night" honors after he starched James Te Huna in the first round of their light heavyweight co-main event.
No "Submission of the Night" bonus was given out after the card finished with no submission victories.
Here are the UFC Fight Night 33 bonuses:
Knockout of the Night -- Mauricio Rua
Submission of the Night -- XXX
Fight of the Night -- Mark Hunt vs. Antonio Silva
Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as that information becomes available.
