Suckers.
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar did not attend last Saturday night's (Dec. 28, 2013) UFC 168 pay-per-view (PPV) event in Las Vegas, Nevada, despite reports that he would be on the scene and talking turkey with ex-boss Dana White.
The only talking that was done was by the mixed martial arts (MMA) fan base.
To that end, it was mission accomplished for Lesnar, who was reportedly a willing participant in a "publicity stunt" to help generate buzz for his return to professional wrestling. The former NCAA Division-1 National Champion is currently signed to WWE and enjoying a lucrative part-time schedule.
Which is why, according to MMA Fighting, he is not in talks to return to combat sports.
That's sure to be bad news for Shane Carwin, who considered coming out of a self-imposed retirement to fight the "bitch" who defeated him in the main event of UFC 116, after "The Engineer" had a meltdown prior to his second-round submission loss.
Unless Carwin decides to sign with WWE.
