185 lbs.: Siyar Bahadurzada vs. John Howard

Howard picks up Siyar and just poses with him on his shoulders for a good five seconds before slamming Siyar, who immediately threatens the kimura and uses it to stand up.
Round three: Howard's corner is definitely telling him he won the first two rounds, which is foolish if you ask me. Inside leg kick from Howard and a nice left hook. Howard shoots, but Siyar gets an underhook on Howard's left arm to stop it. Howard lets it go and hits a series of punches on Siyar. The Afghani stands still and waves Howard on, who demures. Siyar rolls and gives up the back. A sparse U-S-A chant here from the crowd. Howard doesn't seem able to finish here, but also doesn't really seem to worry as he's probably got this in the bag. Siyar throwing punches backwards, but this is Howard's round.
Final result: John Howard wins via decision (unanimous) 30-27 x3
UFC 168 UNDER CARD "PRELIMS" COMMENTARY PLAY-BY-PLAY (FACEBOOK):
170 lbs.: William Macario Patolino vs. Bobby Voelker
Round one: Patolino is listed at 22 but looks 35 and has the Randlemann/Guillard blond hair. Voelker in white, Patolino in red & black. Mario Yamasaki our third man. The Brazilian crowd is hyped already. Patolino with a nice straight right as the first solid strike of the contest. Another. Voelker is backing up to the fencing and fires a punch back. Another straight right from the Brazilian. Voelker is just eating the simple straight right directly on his left ear over and over. Voelker is throwing wild and hasn't landed much. There's the right again. They both hit a left. Elbows from Patolino. Nice jab from Voelker connects. Patolino with the takedown, but Voelker cage walks up right away. Voelker charges forward with a combo, but is out of range on all of them. Slower pace now and not much left the rest of the round.
Round two: Aggression from Voelker now, but he's not finding any success out of it. I, however, am finding brilliant success with this beer. Trader Joe's 2013 Vintage Ale is very, very nice. Patolino is getting in a couple jabs and hooks here, but isn't picking Voelker apart like he did last round. Nice duck under single-leg for Patolino, but he can't control Voelker who stands against the cage. Patolino landed a nice combo there, but Voelker walked through it. Voelker is bleeding from his forehead here. Nice leg kick from Bobby, but Patalino counters and is now firing. He's picking his shots here and is landing nearly everything in the arsenal. Elbows, punches, knees. Voelker is stumbling badly. Patolino still hitting power shots that are landing like shards of glass on Voelker's face. Ref pauses the action to look at Voelker's face. The doc OK's the Oklahoman, but boy, he's a stuck pig right now. Takedown for Patolino at the bell.
Round three: The cutman couldn't do a thing to staunch the bleeding on Voelker's head. Voelker is pushing the pace, sensing that he needs to get the knockout to win this fight. Patolino with a 1-2 that sets off the faucet. I can't tell if Patolino is gassed or just chilling here in the cage, but it's probably the latter as he stuffs a takedown attempt from Voelker with ease. Three minutes to go. Voelker take an inadvertent brush of they hands to the eyes. Patolino lands solid and backs Voelker up. Voelker's face is pure geranium red right now. He's a solid 7 on the Musashi scale. Spinning back elbow from Patolino, Jones style. Speaking of, there's some oblique kicks. Takedown from Patolino, that Voelker immediately stands up from. There's a right from Voelker, but it's an arm punch that doesn't do much. Hook from Patolino. Step-in elbow from Patolino. Takedown again, but Patolino doesn't even follow him down, electing to punch him in the mouth instead of trying to control.
10-9 Patolino and any one of these rounds could be 10-8.
Final result: William Macario Patolino wins via decision (unanimous) 30-27 x3
145 lbs.: Estevan Payan vs. Robbie Peralta
Round one: It's finally here. It's like Christmas all over again. Payan in black, Peralta in white & blue, our ref is Yves Lavigne and Goldberg has already punned both of their nicknames into "Terrible Problems". Peralta has the first contact with a solid leg kick. Suddenly followed it up with a left, a right and a takedown into half guard up against the fence. Light ground and pound from Peralta, but he's not able to do too much before Payan surges to his feet. They trade body and leg knees in the clinch. Lavigne calling for work. Peralta with a knee tap and he's on top in half guard again. Closer to the center of the cage, too and Peralta's got more room to work... and to get swept as he tried to get to mount. He just powered him over and is on top in side control. Short elbows for Payan here. Peralta doesn't look all that good on his back here, but Payan isn't doing a whole heck of a lot either. There's a nice right. Rogan keeps pointing out the deficiencies in Peralta's bottom game here. They stand at the last second.
Pretty even round. 10-10 wouldn't be unheard of, but I think most judges will go 10-9 Peralta for the two takedowns.
Round two: Peralta with a good leg kick and a winging overhand. Payan with a leg kick in revenge. Peralta is throwing big with a combo and got one through, but Payan eats it. 2-3-leg kick from Peralta. Payan tries to fire back but doesn't connect. Peralta's landed close to ten leg kicks this round and all of them have been pretty decent. Payan ducks under and grabs the body lock. Immediate takedown and side control for Payan. Peralta shows the proper technique to regain half guard to Rogan's joy. Payan stands to try and rain down strikes, but Peralta uses the space to stand. Payan lands a shot as Peralta stands but then backs off. They clinch and Payan gets a bunch of knees in. Now Peralta gets some in. Ten seconds and they end the round in the clinch.
Honestly that's about 10-10 again. Peralta won the striking in the first half of the round, Payan got the takedown but didn't do too much with it.
Round three: Well, that makes my waffling scoring easier. They start the round with a meeting in center cage and Peralta hits a badonkas left that puts Payan on wobbly legs. Payan stumbles back and eats another left. He goes down and Peralta lords it up over him with some ferocious GNP to get the stoppage.
Final result: Robbie Peralta wins via KO (punches) at 0:12 of round 3
