Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has a late scratch for its upcoming mixed martial arts (MMA) fight card "down under" and for once, it's not related to the injury bug.
Blame this one on paperwork.
Up-and-coming bantamweight prospect Mitch Gagnon (10-2) has been kept from his upcoming fight against Alex Caceres (9-5) at UFC Fight Night 33, which was previously scheduled to go down this Friday night (Dec. 6, 2013) at Brisbane Entertainment Center in Queensland, Australia.
The promotion announced the postponement earlier today, which has been attributed to "visa issues."
That shrinks the FOX Sports 1 main card to five fights, which will air on the cable-television network at 9 p.m. ET, following the FOX Sports 2 and Facebook "Prelims" bouts. See the complete UFC Fight Night 33 schedule, line up and televised bout order for "Hunt vs. Bigfoot" by clicking here.
