Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Chael Sonnen allegedly had several inches of his colon removed during emergency surgery on Nov. 15, 2013, just one day before his first-round technical knockout loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 167, according to a TSN.ca "report" on Wednesday.
Chaos ensued.
Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) Executive Director, Keith Kizer, clarified that the report was false, chalking up the gossip to Sonnen "coyly" working over interviewer Michael Landsberg.
Landsberg personally still isn't convinced, later tweeting that since Sonnen "won't deny it," he feels that it's the same as him "admitting it."
"@LatsOfRunning: @mauroranallo He won't deny it, which to me is the same as admitting it. He just doesn't like to be seen as the excuse guy

Late Wednesday evening after his appearance on "UFC Tonight," Sonnen appeared on Fox Sports 1, during which he was asked about the procedure. The self-proclaimed "American Gangster" was obviously upset; however, he still did not deny that it happened.
"My personal medical business is just that, personal, I'm furious that they were given this information."
The plot thickens.
