"I checked with the UFC. They verified with Chael and his team that he did not have any surgery prior to the Rashad Evans fight. According to Chael, the interviewer asked him a question and Chael, coyly, didn't answer him directly as the article clearly states, and the interviewer inferred that the answer to his question was in the affirmative."
-- Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) Executive Director, Keith Kizer, was more than likely very alarmed, and disturbed, to learn earlier today from a TSN.ca "report" that Chael Sonnen has several inches of his colon removed just one day prior to his Light Heavyweight showdown against Rashad Evans at UFC 167, which took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Nov. 16, 2013. Kizer contacted Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) officials, as well as Sonnen, who clarified the situation, claiming that the cut "cat-and-mouse" game with "Off The Record" host Michael Landsberg was merely a case of "coy" miscommunication. We'll pass along the video of their conversation as soon as it becomes shareable.
