When I first heard that the Silva vs Weidman 2 PPV was going to be five extra dollars I was annoyed, but I figured that prices were going up and the UFC needed more to cover their costs. Sucks but fair enough, inflation and all that I thought. Then I watched the Dana White media scrum for UFC on Fox 9 and heard Dana say that this was a one time thing. The next PPV will be back to the regular price. So why the price hike?... no reason, just because they can. This is an insult to every regular PPV buyer. I personally have shelled out hundreds of dollars for PPV's over the years and feel that my loyalty is meaningless. Many times I have been burned by mediocre or terrible cards that I've had to pay full price for and now they're charging me more for a good PPV card?! This is a price gouge without a doubt. Especially considering PPV view sales are going down and they've just lost their biggest star (GSP). Dana was even asked about doing a prime time special for this event but he said that they weren't because the specials were too expensive. So they're charging more and giving less, well done! Because of this insult I will find other means of watching the PPV for free, and not even feel guilty about it. Merry Christmas UFC!
