I'm not sure what to make of this...
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight Vitor Belfort -- who rocketed back up the 185-pound rankings with three straight knockouts -- is serving as the "Values Enforcer" for Elevation Church, which "exists so that people far from God will be raised to life in Christ."
By any means necessary, apparently.
The video is obviously a tongue-in-cheek parody of all religious institutions, whose biggest enemy is apathy. It's not uncommon to see members of the congregation dozing off, doodling on their cell phones or making small talk among themselves.
And "Creative Pastor," Larry Hubatka, has the
final perfect solution. If you mess up in his church, then you are kidnapped, blindfolded and thrown into a van. The abductors then take you to an undisclosed location and dump you into a cage with Belfort, so he can beat the shit out of you, until you repent.
I found it repulsive and in poor taste, considering the violent and bloody history of most religions when it comes to people who did not live up the expectations of the church. But unlike these jokers, there are no repercussions if you disagree with me, so let's hear your take on this bizarre video.
