Shayna Baszler, Sarah Moras and last night (Sat., Nov. 30, 2013), Jessica Rakoczy, all met the same The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18 fate thanks to "The Venezuelan Vixen."
Julianna Pena continued her tear at TUF 18 Finale from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, scoring a first round technical knockout finish over Rakoczy to become the first-ever female TUF champion.
The Bantamweight bout, which ended with just one second remaining in the opening frame, was seemingly over to moment the bell rang to start the mixed martial arts (MMA) action. Pena stormed out of her corner and put a licking on Rakoczy with a brutal barrage of strikes and aggressive takedowns.
It ultimately culminated with a ground-and-pound stoppage that elated her coach this season, Miesha Tate, and more than likely irritated Ronda Rousey, who appeared to be at odds throughout the FOX Sports 1 show.
The only accolade the historic "first-ever" women's TUF title winner and a "six-figure" Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) contract earner seemingly didn't win was a $25,000 season bonus like a handful of her contemporaries.
Chump change.
