Alptekin Ozkilic vs. Darren Uyenoyama booked for UFC on FOX 9 with John Moraga hurt

Turkish pride!

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced another fight card switcheroo for the upcoming UFC on FOX 9: "Johnson vs. Benavidez 2" mixed martial arts (MMA) event, scheduled to take place on Dec. 14, 2013 at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.

You can thank John Moraga for that.

The former division number one contender has been bounced from the "Sac-Town" shindig after suffering an undisclosed injury in training. Stepping in to replace him is Octagon newcomer and Turkish wrestler Alptekin Ozkilic (8-1), who takes on Darren Uyenoyama as part of the FOX Sports 1 "Prelims" offering.

"Alp" was last seen beating the brakes off Antonio Banuelos at Legacy Fighting Championship (LFC) 20 last May.

UFC on FOX 9 will be headlined by a 125-pound title fight pitting reigning UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson against top-ranked contender Joseph Benavidez in a rematch from their closely-contested title fight back in September 2012.

That's not all

The co-main event will feature former WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber in his quest to get back into the 135-pound title hunt at the expense of fellow bantamweight stalwart Michael McDonald. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, Matt Brown will try to prove he's immortal against Carlos Condit.
