Rashad Evans needed less than one round to prove once and for all that while Chael Sonnen may be the superior commentator and fight analyst, he's certainly not the better fighter of the two. That's because "Suga" absolutely ran through the "American Gangster" in the co-main event of last night's (Sat., Nov. 16, 2013) UFC 167: "St. Pierre vs. Hendricks" pay-per-view (PPV) event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It was a dominant performance from Evans, who had seemed to be in a free fall since his unanimous decision loss to Jon Jones back in April of 2012 in his last light heavyweight title bout. He had won since then, but was listless in a split decision victory over Dan Henderson. Here, he was the outstanding wrestler/striker/ground-n-pounder of old, the one who took the 205-pound division by storm. Did he start a career rebirth here? We'll have to stay tuned on that. As for Sonnen, he's already got a date locked in to coach The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3 opposite Wanderlei Silva, so the defeat, devastating and decisive as it was, won't hurt his stock too much.
