Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira title fight booked for UFC 170 on Feb. 22 in Las Vegas

See you in "Sin City!"

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is apparently fit as a fiddle and ready to make good on his "bad ass decision" to put his 205-pound title up for grabs against division number one contender Glover Teixeira.

When and where?

UFC 170: "Jones vs. Teixeira" at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 22, 2013.

Sorry, Jersey boys.

Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans were clamoring for a second go-round between Jones and Alexander Gustafsson, following their epic, five-round title fight in the UFC 165 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, which took place back on Sept. 21, 2013 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

"The Mauler" -- who now fights Jimi Manuwa next March in London (details) -- lost a close unanimous decision, but did more damage in their 25-minute dogfight than any other opponent of "Bones" to date.

Still, he did come up short, so Jones successfully campaigned to have a new opponent and to his credit, Teixeira has yet to be defeated in five trips to the Octagon, most recently planishing Ryan Bader in the UFC Fight Night 28 main event last month in Brazil.

The destruction of "Darth" pushed his record to a near-flawless 22-2.

No other bouts have been announced for UFC 170 at this time; however, you can expect to hear all the latest and greatest news and notes surrounding next year's "Jones Vs. Teixeira" fight card right here on just as soon as the become available.

Stay tuned.
