Looks like Cody Bollinger doesn't need to win The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18 to secure a "six-figure contract."
That's because he's already got one.
Bollinger failed to make weight for his elimination fight against Anthony Gutierrez on episode nine of the combat sports reality show (results and recap here). When Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White got word that "Bam Bam" threw in the towel, he promptly asked the bantamweight prospect to GTFO.
One door closes, another door opens.
World Series of Fighting (WSOF) -- which recently expanded its operations overseas -- snatched up the one-time Bellator fighter and gave him the payday he was looking for, according to MMA Fighting. Not bad for a guy who admits he "quit" during his time on FOX Sports 1.
Now he has a second chance to make a first impression.
No opponent has been named for his WSOF debut, which is expected to come in January of 2014 at -- you guessed it -- 135 pounds. Stay tuned for more information on Bollinger's first post-TUF fight, as it becomes available.
