Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is already adding to its "Super" pay-per-view (PPV) plans, making its return to Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Sat., Feb. 1, 2014, official earlier this afternoon.
As expected, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones will headline the mixed martial arts (MMA) bonanza opposite Glover Teixeira, who managed to leapfrog Alexander Gustafsson even though the resilient Swede gave "Bones" the fight of his life at UFC 165 late last month (Sept., 26, 2013) in Toronto, Canada.

Unexpectedly, the promotion also revealed that the "do or die" Heavyweight showdown between former division champion, Frank Mir, and former Strikeforce / K-1 / DREAM belt holder, Alistair Overeem, will be featured on the Super Bowl weekend PPV main card, shifting from UFC 167 20th Anniversary show that is planned for next month.
UFC 169 will coincide with Super Bowl 48, which takes place at MetLife Stadium in nearby East Rutherford, N.J., on Sun., Feb. 2, 2013. No other potential matches for UFC 169 are known at this time.
