They call Jon Jones "Bones" because he's skinny, but they would probably call him "DC" if he was fat.
That's according to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder, who was getting a bit self-conscious in the buffet line, likely because he's got to keep his weight under control for his upcoming 205-pound title defense against division number one contender Glover Teixeira.
And he doesn't want to waddle into the weigh ins looking like Daniel Cormier.
With that being said I love these people. their hospitality is first class nothing but hugs and smiles eating so much Ill look like DC soon

"DC" was not amused.
@JonnyBones it's much easier to talk when you know theres two fights seperating us. Keep running ur mouth kid! Jon u can't beat me!

Based on this recent "skinny fat" pic, I'm not sure the champ has much room to talk.
Cormier has slowly but surely been working his way toward a light heavyweight title shot after his scuffle with Jones last year in Las Vegas (details). He tied a ribbon around his run as an undefeated heavyweight by knocking around Roy Nelson at the UFC 166 event earlier this month in Houston.
But he's no closer to his long-desired "super fight."
Alexander Gustafsson is expected to earn his highly-anticipated rematch if he manages to upend Antonio Rogerio Nogueira next year in London (more on that fight here). That's assuming "Bones" can break Teixeira. If "The Mauler" should happen to fall short, however, then all bets are off.
All Cormier can do in the interim is keep on winning (and dieting).
