Marlon Moraes steamrolled Carson Beebe last night (Sat., Oct. 26, 2013) at World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 6 from BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Fla., wiping the floor with "Little Juggernaut" in just 32 seconds.
Beebe actually looked to set the tone early for the Bantamweight co-main event, blitzing Moraes the moment the horn blared to signal the start of their 135-pound mixed martial arts (MMA) match. Moraes defended well and drilled Beebe with a few shots in the process, dazing and opening him up to a huge left hook that, for all intents and purposes, turned out his lights.
Moraes followed up with a few unnecessary head bouncers on the flattened Beebe before the referee waived off the action.
"He's a wrestler," Moraes said. "He came hard to take me down, but I was ready. He was too close to try to take me down. I could hit him with some punches."
Moraes (12-4-1) is undefeated (4-0) under WSOF banner and, according to a post-fight press release from the promotion, is in line to challenge for the company's first-ever Bantamweight belt in the near future.
