Asia's largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion today (Oct. 21, 2013) revealed four more fights from the card of ONE FC: "Warrior Spirit," which is set for Kuala Lumpur on Nov. 15, 2013 and will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Malaysia's Adam Kayoom vs. Japanese knockout specialist Nobutatsu Suzuki.
The final of the Malaysian featherweight Grand Prix was initially set to be contested between Melvin Yeoh (7-1) and Jian Kai Chee (4-4) after both emerged victorious from their respective semifinals in February; however, Kai is currently injured and believes he can no longer make 145 pounds so he will be replaced by AJ Mansour (1-3) who he beat by split decision in the previous round.
Two of Malaysia's top flyweights will go head-to-head when Gianni Subba (2-0) takes on Chen Yun Ting (1-0) in a battle of undefeated prospects. Neither fighter has ever competed outside of the ONE FC cage in their professional career and the winner will be able to call themselves the best 125-pounder in the country.
Malaysian middleweight Nik Harris (4-2) will make his ONE FC debut after making a name for himself competing on the local scene. The 24 year old is taking on an opponent almost 15 years his senior in the shape of Indonesian Zuli Silawanto (6-6), who was last seen losing to Kayoom in February.
The final fight announced today sees two featherweights who are based in Kuala Lumpur go head-to-head when Belgian Samir Mrabet (2-0) -- who owns Monarchy MMA -- takes on Steven Durr (1-1) from the United States who is an instructor at T-Rex.
The main event was announced several weeks ago and sees Kayoom (4-1) attempt to become the first ever Malaysian to win a ONE FC world title when he takes on Suzuki (10-1-2). The Japanese fighter stopped Phil Baroni with strikes in the first round of his promotional debut earlier this year.
