A picture of UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who was with the Strikeforce promotion prior to switching sweaters, landed on FOX Sports top 36 "2012 Sports Images of the Year."

We know ... mixed martial arts (MMA) fans simple can't get enough Ronda Rousey.

And once again, MMAmania.com has got you covered.

FOX Sports has compiled a gallery of "2012's Sports Images of the Year" and the "Rowdy" one made the cut alongside plenty of images from last year's Olympic games, the infamous Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks controversial game-winning touchdown call and Juan Manuel Marquez's vicious faceplant knockout (see it here) of Manny Pacquiao, among others.

The image, which was captured by SB Nation's own shutterbug extraordinaire, Esther Lin, depicts a stone-faced Rousey making the long walk to the Strikeforce hexagon as she prepares to face Sarah Kaufman at Strikeforce: "Rousey vs. Kaufman" this past August.

After her first round destruction of Kaufman via armbar submission, Rousey made history by becoming the first-ever female mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter to sign with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), putting pen to paper on an historic contract with the Zuffa-owned promotion.

On top of that, the former Olympic bronze medal-winning Judoka also became the promotion's first female bantamweight champion, receiving the title prior to UFC on Fox 5, which she will defend against Liz Carmouche at UFC 157 on Feb. 23, 2013, in Anaheim, California.

How about it Maniacs, what was your most memorable sports image of 2012?
