Pics: Joe Lauzon shares elapsed time healing cut photos after UFC 155

See the slow (but steady) healing process of Joe Lauzon, who's been publishing daily pics of his battered face following a three round dance with Jim Miller at last weekend's UFC 155 pay-per-view in Las Vegas.

Just bleed!!!!

UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon put forth a "Fight of the Night" performance against Jim Miller last Saturday night (see it here), nearly getting his face ripped off after 15 minutes of back and forth (and very bloody) action.

Following the fight, which went down on the main card of UFC 155: "Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2" on Dec. 29, 2012 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, "J-Lau" needed 40 stitches to close the ax wound over his right eye.

Since then, he's been keeping fans abreast of his healing progress on Instagram.

Surprisingly, the lacerations to Lauzon's face and forehead only brought about a 60-day timeout (45 days no contact) from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), which was otherwise heavy handed in its application of UFC 155 medical suspensions.

See the entire list here.

The good news is, the scrappy 155 pounder looks to be on the mend, which may or may not be the case for the mangled mug of Junior dos Santos, who took 25 minutes of abuse at the hands of Cain Velasquez in the night's main event (see that fight here).
