Ok Maniacs, you know the drill. If I don't mention a fighter from last night it's because I think they will be cut or I just don't care.
Demetrious Johnson vs. I hope John Moraga. Some might say it's a little early but the guy is nasty and he's already got a win over top ranked Ulysses Gomez. But I could also see Joe Silva give it to the winner of McCall vs. Benavidez if they put on a good show.
John Dodson vs. loser of Benavidez vs. McCall
Glover Texeira vs. Thiago Silva. It's hard to predict an opponent for Texeira because according to those in the know, not many 205ers are willing to fight him. But Silva will be coming off a suspension (his second in a row, albeit for marijuana) in May and won't have the option of picking and choosing his opponent. Wouldn't be surprised to see this fight co-main a card in Brazil.
Rampage Jackson vs. King Mo. Good riddance.
Anthony Pettis vs. winner of Ben Henderson/Gilbert Melendez. And rightfully so! I fully expect Henderson to defend his strap in April, setting up a rematch of the WEC's last ever main event fight sometime in late August or early September.
Ricardo Lamas vs. winner of Jose Aldo/Frankie Edgar. But this is a Frankie Edgar fight which means some weird shit will happen setting up an immediate rematch so in that case I'd make a firm #1 contender fight between Lamas and the returning Korean Zombie.
TJ Grant vs. Jim Miller. Miller needs to win a few more before he's considered a legitimate contender again so why not a tough Canadian on a four fight winning streak?
Hatsu Hioki vs. some journeyman/newcomer, probably in Japan. The UFC needs to keep him for their shows in Asia so they have to throw him a bone...
Vladmir Matyushenko will hopefully call it a career.
