The UFC handed out its usual three bonus awards to fighters coming out of the UFC on FX 7: "Belfort vs. Bisping" event last night (Sat., Jan. 19, 2013) in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and all three were more than deserving.
UFC on FX 7 is in the books from Sao Paulo, Brazil, and as usual, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) announced the night's winners for "Fight of the Night," "Knockout of the Night," and "Submission of the night."
All five fighters who received bonuses were awarded an additional $50,000 for their standout efforts.
"Fight of the Night" went to C.B. Dollaway and Daniel Sarafian for their three-round battle that resulted in a split decision victory for Dollaway.
"Knockout of the Night" was awarded to Vitor Belfort for rattling Michael Bisping's brain with a massive head head kick in the second round for their middleweight contest, which served as the main event of the card.
"Submission of the Night," was awarded to Idlemar Alcantara for his kneebar submission of Wagner Prado on the preliminary portion of the UFC on FX 7 fight card. Alcantara took the fight on 11-days notice and upset Prado for a successful UFC debut.
Here's a final recap of the UFC on FX 7 post-fight bonus winners:
Fight of the Night - C.B. Dollaway vs. Daniel Sarafian
Knockout of the Night - Vitor Belfort
Submission of the Night - Idlemar Alcantara
Again, each fighter received $50,000 extra for their performances in addition to their respective base salaries, which we will pass along as soon as possible.
