Tarec Saffiedine earned a unanimous decision over Nate Marquardt in last night's (Jan. 12, 2013) mixed martial arts (MMA) main event in what marked the final Strikeforce event, which took place at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Okla., to win the organization's welterweight championship.

In the heavyweight co-main event, Daniel Cormier thrashed Dion Staring with strikes, forcing the referee to stop the fight in the second round. Other main card action included Josh Barnett quickly submitting Nandor Guelmino, while Gegard Mousasi and Ronaldo Souza also picked up first-round finishes of their respective opponents.
