I've heard of unorthodox training methods before ... but damn, you could have made yourself a nice omelet with those eggs.
The last man to hold the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) lightweight title, Anthony Pettis, is training hard for his upcoming scrap against Donald Cerrone when Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heads to the "Windy City" for UFC on FOX 6: "Johnson vs. Dodson" on Jan. 26, 2013 in Chicago, Illinois.
How hard?
Hard enough to break a carton of eggs, which is perhaps the strangest mixed martial arts (MMA) video I've seen since Tom Lawlor swapped spit with Kyle Kingsbury. "Showtime" is shown "Cro Copping" a carton of liquid chickens in slow motion, which pretty much rules out that steak and eggs breakfast he was hoping for.
Whatever works, I suppose.
If he's able to do likewise against the trash-talking "Cowboy" later this month, he could be in line for a rematch against reigning division champion Ben Henderson, who coughed up his WEC title to the Duke Roufus-trained kickboxer when they first met back in 2010.
