"This isn't U.K. vs. America. This is Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann. It's an individual sport and come the 22nd of September, I'm going to individually kick the crap out of Brian Stann. When he was in basic training shining his boots, I was in the UFC kicking (bleep). I'm getting better and better with every fight, I'm maturing as a fighter, I feel I'm in my prime, and I'm ready to beat Brian Stann and then take that title. ... I want my shot. People have had their shot. Others have had their shot, stepped in their and fallen over with a little slap. I won't do that, I'll turn up to fight. Anderson Silva will be in the fight of his life when we fight, and we will fight. I will beat Brian Stann and I will fight Anderson Silva."
Michael Bisping has never been short on confidence and that's never been more evident than in his pre-fight interview ahead of his UFC 152 main card bout against Brian Stann on Sat., Sept. 22, 2012, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The British brawler has already stated he's been told that an impressive win could earn him a title shot against middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva, so he's heading into this match-up with the idea that he's going to destroy "All American" and finally become the guy to really give "The Spider" a run for his money. That's ignoring Chael Sonnen, of course, and what he did with the Brazilian badass, but whatever. The point is Bisping is ready to get his shot after so many years fighting inside the Octagon. Let's say he wins and even looks good doing so -- you Maniacs ready to give him a crack at the throne?
